Flexion/ Distraction Technique
Flexion/ Distraction Technique is spinal adjustment performed on a specially designed chiropractic table which has a movable caudal piece (that part on which a patient's legs lie). After distracting the caudal piece, the doctor flexes, extends, and laterally bends the entire section, all while stabilizing the lumbar spine.
Flexion/ Distraction Technique lowers intradiscal pressure, widens the spinal canal, reduces pressure on the spinal nerves, and return motions to spinal joints. It reduces pain due to disc herniation, slipped disc, ruptured disc, facet syndrome, stenosis, spondylolisthesis, neck pain, arm pain, leg pain, sciatica, and much more.
Flexion/ Distraction Technique is non-force, non-surgical, doctor-controlled, hands-on care for spinal pain conditions.
Dr. Tobin became certified in this technique in 1995 and has successfully helped patients avoid unnecessary surgery ever since.
